Public input: County plan on Natural Hazards Mitigation

Clatsop County is working with local jurisdictions and special districts to update its Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (NHMP).

Updated every five years, the plan identifies hazards that threaten our communities, evaluates our vulnerability to those threats, and outlines strategies to reduce or eliminate the risk posed by those threats.

The draft Plan is available for public review and comment from January 3, 2021, through January 15, 2021, at the county website (co.clatsop.or.us) or via this link:

Citizen participation is a critically important piece of the update. Please take some time to share your perspective on how natural disasters impact Clatsop County and pass the Plan along to others so they can take the opportunity to do the same.
